Ear Candle Treatment

History of Ear Candles

The Hopi Indians first used the candles in their rituals but also used by other cultures.

The candles are hollow tubes of linen impregnated with beeswax, essential oils and herbs.

They have been used by complimentary therapists for decades.

They are used to sooth, calm, relax and energize the body.

Many people find the treatment unblocks the sinuses and that they have a feeling of overall well-being.

I only use Biosun candles for my treatments as they use the best natural ingredients.

The company developed the candles in the early 80’s and they continue to carry out strict safety checks.

The treatment

The treatment starts with a relaxing, soothing facial massage.

You will be asked to turn on your side and a special towel is put over the ear.

The candle is placed in the ear by the therapists with the help of the client.

When in a comfortable position the candle is lit. There should be a crackling noise. The candle burns down to the safety line and is then removed and extinguished. The treatment is repeated in the other ear.

After the ear treatment a face and neck massage is carried out to drain toxins to the lymph nodes which then reach the bloodstream

A foot massage or back massage is then carried out to complete the relaxing therapy.
